The East Common Room is the larger of the two common rooms. It's full of sofas, coffee tables, and reading nooks -- complete with an overhead chandelier. Student royalty tend to hang out here.
Apple White is milling around, greeting students and handing out apples.
Apple White stands in the middle of the common room with a wicker basket on her arm and a dimple-to-dimple smile on her face. When you enter, she makes a determined beeline for you. "Hello!" she says. "I am with the Royal Student Council to help welcome returning students back to the school, at least before lunch, and then Headmaster Grimm's speech in the Charmitorium, of course. Speaking of returning, I hope you'll vote for me in the upcoming election! Here you are." She digs around in the basket and hands you a perfectly shiny golden apple. "A golden delicious!"
